Company D, 1st Maryland Infantry Regiment is a Confederate Civil War living history group based in Baltimore, Maryland and operates in the Mid-Atlantic region. Our Company is a division of the Independent Greys organization. Our goal is to educate and provide the public with an accurate portrayal of soldiers who served in the 1st Maryland Infantry Regiment CSA 1861-1862.

SCENE DEPICTS THE 1ST MARYLAND INFANTRY REGIMENT AT THE BATTLE OF GAINES MILLS IN 1862. AS VARIOUS CONFEDERATE UNITS BROKE ANE RETREATED, COLONEL BRADLEY T. JOHNSON CALMED THE MARYLANDERS BY DRILLING THEM UNDER FIRE. WITH NERVES STEADIED, THE MEN OF THE 1ST MD ADVANCED FORWARD
